Call for Abstracts (General Session)
Abstract Submission Period
March 3 (Monday), 2025 to June 20 (Friday), 2025 at 5:00 PM Japan Standard Time (JST)
Presenter Eligibility
- The presenter must be a member of the Japanese Society for the Study of Xenobiotics during the Annual Meeting (October. 20-23, 2025). If you are not currently a member of JSSX, please review this page and complete your membership (Business year 2025: Oct. 1, 2025 - Sept. 30, 2026) process. However, the co-author(s) need not be JSSX member(s).
- Only one presentation is allowed per person. However, this may not be applied to co-authors listed on a joint presentation.
- Presenters of general presentations are required to register for this Annual Meeting.

Type of Presentation
- We are calling for two types of presentation for the general session: Oral and Poster.
- Due to potential space limitations, if we receive more oral presentations applications than can be accommodated, some presenters may be asked to present their work as a poster instead.
- Poster presentations will have a “demonstration time,” during which they will have free discussion with the participants in front of their own panels.
Best Oral Presentation Award
- As part of this year's Annual Meeting, we have established a "Best Oral Presentation Award" as an annual chairperson project. Presenters interested in being considered for this award should select, "Apply" when submitting their abstract. The Best Oral Presentation Award Selection Committee will select the Best Oral Presentation Award.
- The Award Ceremony will be held on October 23 (Thu.), at which a certificate will be awarded to the winner. The award ceremony will be held at 16:30 on October 23 (Thu.) at Room A.
Best Poster Award
- "Best Poster Award" will be given at this Annual Meeting. Presenters interested in being considered for this award, should select "Apply" when submitting their abstract. Also, they must select the relevant research area from (1) Basic Research, (2) Applied Research, (3) Research in Industries. The Best Poster Award Selection Committee will select finalists for the Award.
- The finalists will be interviewed by the Best Poster Award Selection Committee on October 21 (Tue.) and then the Best Poster Award winners will be selected.
- The Award Ceremony will be held on October 23 (Thu.), at which a certificate will be awarded to the winners. The award ceremony will be held at 16:30 on October 23 (Thu.) at Room A.
Language
All presentation materials, including posters and oral presentation slides, must be prepared and presented entirely in English. This includes the presentation title, presenter’s name, affiliation, and abstract.

Presentation Title
- The title must be no longer than 180 characters.
- Capitalize only the first letter of the title.
- No period is needed.
- Superscripts, subscripts, and italics are available, but not line breaks.
Character Limit of Abstracts
- Compose your abstract in a structured format, including the following sections: [Purpose], [Methods], [Results and Discussion], and [Conclusion].
- The abstract must be no more than 2,200 characters.
- The total number of characters (including the title, authors' names, affiliations, and the main text) must be no longer than 2,500 characters.
Acceptance and Classification
The Organizing Committee is in sole charge of the decision of acceptance or rejection of the abstracts. The results will be notified by e-mail in early August.

- Log in using your registered e-mail and password.
- Upload your completed abstract file.

- Indicate if you are applying for any awards.
